Following 2008’s SingStar ABBA, comes SingStar Queen – a collection of the rock champions’ best hits and feet-stomping party shakers. If you’re a diehard Queen fan then there’s probably already a copy out there with your name on it.
There music is known all over the world, they have their own tribute musical in the West End and now you can get the party started in your own living room with tracks from the peak of their popularity. There are the super energetic ones, like ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’, ‘We Are the Champions’, ‘Breakthru’ and ‘We Will Rock You’, that will have you the bellowing choruses till next door come round to complain. Then there’s rock ballads ‘Somebody to Love’, ‘These Are the Days of Our Lives’ and ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’. There really are very few low lights in this collection.
If you’re new to SingStar on PS3, SingStar Queen gives you 25 tracks to enjoy off the bat – the PS2 version has 20. Although, if you’ve already started your SingStar collection on PS3 (and you have access to the PlayStation Network) then it may actually be more cost effective to buy only the Queen tracks you’re truly dying for from the SingStore at £0.99 a pop. All of the tracks found on the disc are available to buy online.
With hits guaranteed to get you on your feet whether you’re sixteen or thirty-six, Queen are a sound choice for a standalone SingStar game.
