These elements combine to make Oblivion one of the single best, longest-lasting game experiences to be had in a long time.

Breaking all kinds of records and changing the landscape of multiplayer shooters forever, so much so that even now, two years later, the competition is still scrambling to keep up and Infinity Ward’s influence can be felt throughout the industry.

If Mario 64 revolutionised the platform genre, Super Mario Galaxy perfected it. This is a title of galactic proportions. Each level hosts a variety of planets, each with its own centre of gravity, making for dizzying experiences. Fortunately, the camera is remarkably capable. A triumph in gameplay and the best platformer of the decade.

Exceptional vocal performances and unparalleled animation bring Snake’s world to life like never before. A novel, startlingly imaginative, highly customisable take on the platforming genre. Although only the most enthusiastic of players would be up for the challenge of the milestone creativity within, the tools that can be utilised are utterly outstanding and can be appreciated, and still will be, for years to come.
