Selfridges Launches Its New Online Store

Selfridges Launches Its New Online Store

It would seem Selfridges have finally caught up with the 21st Century and yes – wait for it…

Finally gone online.

I have just done a virtual shop and I bet you’re expecting me to say I have a list longer than Kim Kardashian’s hair extensions – and yes you’re not wrong, but what my head is screaming louder than “GET ME THOSE CHANEL CLOGS! Please.” Is why on earth have they only just started going digital?  The industry needs to wake up and smell the Aqua di Parma because two clicks of a mouse and a PayPal password later, I’ve gone to Ebay and bought some vintage Levi shorts, got two new pastel polishes from Barry M, and a lacey bralet from TopShop.  I needed not one of these things, nor intended to buy them but that’s what happens when you save your card details online.  It’s dangerous stuff.

And now there’s Selfridges.com.

Slow on the uptake but so very sweet, one mustn’t question miracles or they might get taken away.

And miracle it is.

The website has all the usual shop online features, from womenswear, menswear, accessories, homeware, food and more, to its very own blog that will give you the need-to-know on all the latest brands and exciting in-store events, and even street style snaps of some of the store’s most stylish customers.  Plus my favourite bit, the Wish Room, where you can assemble the perfect outfit on handy little mannequins.

No revision has yet taken place.

I wish you blissful shopping.

Visit www.selfridges.com to see the store.

I find it ridiculous that selfridges have only just got an online store, for years i clicked on their website and was flabberghasted that you couldnt buy online, when you look at the US department stores like Bloomingdales and Bergdolf Goodman, Neimen Marcus (i could go on) have all been online for years, it does make me frustrated that the UK luxury department stores haven’t followed suit sooner.
