Does the thought of knitting make you cringe? Does it just remind you of the days of knitted cardigans and jumpers?
Well things have changed as Trent fashion and knitwear students proved when they displayed their work at Escucha on Tuesday night.
Loads of gorgeous outfits were showcased in front of a packed audience.
Freya Proudlock has been working on her outfit since the start of term and showed off her talents by making an incredible knitted jumpsuit.
She said: “I’ve spent four to five weeks actually making my outfit. Two of those weeks were spent just making a practice one. I completely underestimated how long it would take.”
Before the show nerves were kicking in backstage as 34 models prepared themselves for the catwalk. Misha Bowden-Haase was wearing a knitted stripy crop top and shorts set.
“Right now, I’m really nervous but trying to keep calm. Everyone looks so good and we’re all drinking for dutch courage,” said Bowden-Haase.
Nerves soon vanished though as a very impressed audience cheered at another one of Trent student’s successes.
