It has been less than three days now since Fabio Capello announced his plans to take 23 men on a lad’s tour around South Africa to divulge in the greatest temptations the striking country can offer.

Aside from enjoying one big piss-up, the Three Lions have a job to do in the land of Mandela – reclaiming the great golden trophy that has eluded England for more than 44-years.
In case you live under a very large oval-shaped rock – or have been temporarily consumed by a thick black oil slick – below is a timely reminder (including squad numbers) of who has made it onto the Boeing 747 to Cape Town:

I think this year could see the Netherlands run out winners. Although Germnany have started well, there is normally one side at least who starts of like that and then slips up against a lesser team such as England maybe??
Having said that lets hope our boys rattle in a few in the next couple of games as the prospect of meeting the Germans in the next round doesn’t fill me with optimism!!!
