UPDATE: This role has now been filled. Thank you to everyone who applied to be an editor for the upcoming academic year. Please visit the About Platform page for contact details for the 2010/11 Platform Editorial Team.
We are looking for an NTU student to become our next Student Welfare Editor.
The Student Welfare Editor will take on student health topics, nutrition and how to maintain a healthy diet whilst at uni, personal safety and how to look after yourself – basically any issue relating to students’ welfare.
And what about you? Well, we’re looking for a talented, hard-working NTU student with excellent editorial skills (i.e. directing a section of the magazine and website, leading a team of contributors, spelling, grammar, punctuation, keeping contributors in line, sticking to the copy deadline, etc.) who has the commitment and enthusiasm to take Platform forward into another successful year.
Please note that this position demands responsibility for heading a team of writers to report on the relevant area – editors are not encouraged to write every article in their section, so please don’t apply if you are unwilling to recruit student contributors.
Also keep in mind that while you will be required to submit articles for the website and each issue of the magazine reporting on your subject area, the Editor-in-Chief reserves the right to change the structure of the magazine and website at any time, and may group areas together as they see fit to best relate Platform to a student audience.
