Fundraising group Raising & Giving (RAG) has a new exciting line up for 2010-11.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with RAG, it isn’t like any normal fundraising group. They do crazy and enjoyable activities to raise money for charities worldwide, and this year might be their craziest line up yet.
Starting off the event on November 12, 2010 is the Party Bus, if you don’t mind jumping onto a bus and driving to the middle of nowhere to have a good night out, this is the event for you.
Extreme Jumps, close your eyes and jump on this bungee jumping activity.
Want more extreme jumping? How about a plane? You can with Sky Diving.
Still not crazy enough for ya? How about Escape and Evade? You have 72 hours to blag or hitchhike as far away from Nottingham as you possibly can and make your way back. Last year they got all the way to Amsterdam, how far can you get?
Lost is a very fun, exciting but scary activity. You are blind folded , taken 100 miles away from Nottingham and you have to find you way back but don’t worry you won’t be alone. It will be a team effort.
And last but not least, the epic of the epic, the ultimate challenge, the Mount Kilimanjaro Climb. Yes that does mean Africa! This is one challenge you will be telling your friends, kids and grandkids about when you’re 70.
Sarah Mason, VP of Welfare and Involvement for Nottingham Trent University promotes the event, “If you are interested in raising some money for a specific charity, or just want to try something different, I would definitely recommend getting involved with RAG Big 5. Last year we raised a whopping £78,477.82 and we are hoping to smash that this year with all of the events we have planned.”
So if you’re up for these amazing challenges and wouldn’t mind raising money for charities at the same time, why not head over to the Trent Student Union website and sign up for RaG our amazing fundraising group.
Go on, get involved!
