A Nottingham based charity will be taking part in an ITV Central News competition to win £50,000 for their cause. NORSACA (Nottingham Regional Society for Adults and Children with Autism) has been working to make the lives of those with autism in the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire area easier since the 1960s.
You can help them get one step closer to their goals. The money won from the competition, called the People’s Millions, will go towards making a specially designed playground that will meet the needs of autistic children from across Nottinghamshire and its surrounding areas at their school sites.
Darren Worthy, Fundraising and Communications Manager at NORSACA comments: “It’s a wonderful opportunity to give the pupils of Sutherland House School an exciting, new autism-friendly playground. We need your support and your votes on Monday to help make this wonderful project a reality.”
The competition will take place on Monday 22nd November 2010 and will involve participants showing a film on ITV from 6:00pm based on their chosen project. You can show your support by watching their film and voting for them by phone. Calls will only cost 10pm from BT Landlines.
The number to call will be available on Monday morning. You can also show your support by visiting NORSACA’s website and signing up to receive the number by email.
The number is: 0871-626-88-27
