With an outstanding reputation for legal education and links with some of the world’s best legal firms, Nottingham Trent Universities (NTU) Law School has been the centre of attention for many students over the years.
The school has recently announced the appointment of a new Dean. Andrea Nollent has joined NTU from Sheffield Hallam University (SHU) where she was Assistant Dean, leading strategic development, financial and business planning, international strategy and portfolio review. Nollent comes from a strong academic and strategic development background, and has a track record in establishing transnational partnerships.
Andrea Nollent was previously Head of Law at SHU. She is also a visiting professor at the University of Paris XII.
Nollent has a broad experience at a senior level in Higher Education and of working with employers. This is seen as a key point within Nottingham Law School as it shapes the future education of the university offering to anticipate the demands of a changing legal market both at home and abroad.
As a fluent French speaker, Andrea Nollent has a well-known reputation in the field of comparative legal education and trans-national education, with her work embracing employability and international student mobility.
NTU is honoured to have such an experienced and well established person to have joined the Law department of the university. The students will also vastly benefit from the level of knowledge and experience of the new Dean.
NTU is very well-known to have strong ties with leading law firms. The universities links with leading local, national and international law firms keep students at the cutting-edge and open up great opportunities for placements. Students who undertake placements have opportunities to develop professional legal skills and confidence in a work environment. Also the university assures its Law students who desire to become a solicitor that they’ll be guaranteed a place on the universities LPC course if they maintain a 2.2 or higher.
