UPDATE: These positions have now been filled.
If you’re beginning to contemplate New Year’s resolutions, and one of them happens to be ‘get more involved with my official student magazine’, then we’ve got an opportunity for you: become Platform’s new Music Editor or Fashion Editor.
The Music Editor will need to report on the latest artists, bands, and music trends that have grabbed the attention of Trent, and the Fashion Editor will need to keep their finger firmly on the pulse of NTU’s stylish students.
And what about you? Well, we’re looking for talented, hard-working NTU students with excellent editorial skills (i.e. directing a section of the magazine and website, leading a team of contributors, spelling, grammar, punctuation, keeping contributors in line, sticking to the copy deadline, etc.) who have the commitment and enthusiasm to take Platform forward into the new year.
Please note that this position demands responsibility for heading a team of writers – editors are not encouraged to write every article in their section, so please don’t apply if you are unwilling to recruit/retain student contributors.
Also keep in mind that while you will be required to submit articles for the website and each issue of the magazine, the Editor-in-Chief reserves the right to change the structure of the magazine and website at any time, and may group areas together as they see fit to best relate Platform to a student audience.
