Tuesday 15th February 2011, Nottingham Trent University – Clifton Campus presents the 3rd annual Careers in the Media event. The event is open to all students across the three campuses that pursue a career in media. The event is created by the careers service in collaboration with the communication, culture and media team within the School of Arts and Humanities.
The event is from 10.15am till 3pm which will also include a lunch break. Students will have the opportunity to attend a range of workshops delivered by professionals, covering different sectors of the media including broadcast, journalism, film, digital media, advertising and PR.
Suzanne McGregor, Careers Consultant says: “The event is a great opportunity for students to engage with a range of current media practitioners from various media sectors. The students get to choose the workshops they want to attend, and all are repeated twice so there are no clashes. They can ask questions. In the past, some have offered work experience or just email support after the event. As it is a contacts industry this is so important.”
