Machinarium creator to unveil new projects at GameCityNights

Jakub Dvorský to reveal new indie games, along with playable 3DS games.

Jakub Dvorský, founder of Amanita Design and creator of acclaimed indie title Machinarium, will premier two of latest projects for the first time at next week’s GameCityNights.

The designer and multimedia artist will reveal these projects, as well as his contribution to upcoming stop-motion film, Kooky, at Antenna on Friday, March 25.

GameCity director Iain Simons said: “That Jakub is gracing us with not one,

but two world premieres, is phenomenal, and possibly alarming. Given the quality of his previous work, these announcements look set to introduce us to some absolute must-have titles.”

Following a successful discussion with art director Lee Perry, graphic designer Cory Schmitz will also be in conversation with the audience via Skype.

And to celebrate the launch of the 3DS launch, fans will get the chance to enjoy 11 titles throughout the night, including Pilotwings Resort, PES 2011 3D, Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, Ridge Racer 3D and Super Monkey Ball 3D.

Recently, we went hands-on with the 3DS and its launch titles.

A variety of additional events, including networking, competitions and live indie game demos, are also on hand each month.

To book space to discuss or demo your own work on the preview screens, email GameCity PR coordinator Chris White: chris@gamecity.org.

GameCityNights takes place at Antenna, Beck Street, Nottingham, on Friday, March 25 at 6pm. Admittance is £5 in advance, £6 on the door, over 18s with ID. To book your attendance go to www.gamecity.org.
