Police are investigating an incident at Clifton campus library, in which a male member of staff was injured and several laptops stolen.

The incident occurred at approximately 6pm yesterday. Platform understands that police were dispatched to the scene after hearing reports of a man demanding cash from a library staff member.

A male library staff member sustained a cut on his arm from a bladed instrument which the offender was carrying, believed to be a Stanley knife.  The minor cut required stitches.

The offender then escaped with cash and several laptops.

He wore a plain black zip up tracksuit top with a light round emblem on the left-hand side, black trousers and dark shoes which were possibly trainers.
