The Bodega Social Club is set to host Oxjam on October 13th, with local acoustic performers taking to the stage.
The event which raises money for the charity Oxfam, has seen 40,000 musicians play to over 800,000 people nationwide since it began in 2006. More than £1.5 million has been raised so far through Oxjam, which is enough money for the charity to buy 13,000 emergency shelters, 60,000 goats and 900 classrooms.
Local artists Will Jeffery, Gallery 47, Kaben, The Golden Troubadours and Nina Smith will be playing sets at the event, hoping to play a part in raising money for Oxfam’s charitable work. There will be many more local acts on the night with acoustic sets as well as a few surprises.
Doors open at Bodega on the night at 7pm with tickets priced at £3, but extra donations to the charity will be appreciated as it all goes to a great cause. Drink promotions will also be available for audience members on the night.
