On Thursday 17th November Europe’s biggest punk-rock tour will be hitting Rock City bringing along some of the hottest acts on the scene. The Eastpak Antidote Tour 2011 is set to rock the world for the final time over 23 dates in 11 countries. On the night, four of America’s most talented punk-rock groups will be performing to a sold-out Rock City – making sure the Eastpak Antidote Tour goes out with a bang!
Florida favourites A Day To Remember are headlining the tour, a year after the release of their fourth studio album What Separates Me From You. These guys have sold out entire continental tours (including at our Rock City) and topped Billboard charts around the globe after starting out with a vow to reinvent the genre. If you love rapid drum beats, powerful guitars and up-tempo fervent lyrics, you’ll love them.
Pennsylvania-based metal juggernauts August Burns Red are appearing as the main support after releasing their fourth album Leveler. There is a reason why this quintet have sold over a quarter of a million albums and have spent the last eight years crisscrossing the globe on the road to the top of the rock heap.
The Ghost Inside are also making a much-anticipated appearance with their own unique brand of aggressive melodic metal/hardcore. Starting out in 2007 with debut album Fury And The Fallen Ones, these guys succeed where others have failed – managing to mix punk-rock vocals with metal guitar riffs; screamo lyrics with hardcore breakdowns.
Completing the quartet are Living With Lions – bringing their fresh, anthem-esque sound all the way from Vancouver. Fans and newcomers will be treated to a showcase of everything that is good about punk-rock – angst, frustration, regret, longing and triumph.
