Hungry House- The future of takeaway?

So- You’ve come home from University, You’re tired, your loan has just come and you can’t be bothered to cook- Where do you go? Who do you order from? Your housemates want to get involved but it’s a nightmare organising all the food with who ordered what. They’re many issues that www.HungryHouse.co.uk have endeavoured to solve.

Platform was given the opportunity to order some food through Hungry House and report our findings. Never before has ordering food been made easier. You may remember Hungry House from Dragons Den where they successfully negotiated a deal with Duncan Bannatyne and James Caan. Since then the business has received many investments and has gone from strength to strength. There’re multiple restaurants of all variety to order from on the website and ease of use is something highlighted throughout the website.

You need an account (which costs nothing) and then all you need to do is register it with your home address and you can look up Local Restaurants on the scheme, either by type, distance or on customer review. If you go to a friend’s house and want to carry on using the account then you can simply just add their address to your account, free of charge.

Easy navigation system makes ordering simple

The website has online menu’s and it’s as simple as clicking what you want and it just gets added to the side bar which can be viewed at any time.
An addition that Platform loved was the ability to name what you order. For example one of the Platform lads was pretty keen on keeping his shredded beef to himself, the website allows for it to be named by the restaurant so that when it arrived the rest of us didn’t even get a look in.
The only criticism we would have is that currently the list of restaurants is not all inclusive of all take out places in Nottingham. Of course in an ideal world we’d want to be having takeaway from all our favourites restaurants but currently that’s not possible. Also most of the restaurants have a minimum spend for delivery but this isn’t something unusual.

Ordering for flatmates made easy

This being said Hungry house however isn’t just a ordering website, it rewards loyalty with discounts and you can get gift cards for fellow hungry house users. The website has been nominated for tonnes of awards, continues to grow the amount of restaurants you can use on the site and is preparing to beat off all it’s rivals.
