The Red Bull F1 team have been placed under investigation on suspicion of illegal engine mapping at the German Grand Prix.
Whilst the team and Renault, the engine supplier believe that what they are doing is legal, they have been reported to the stewards amid claims they are using exhaust gasses to aid aerodynamic effect.

Whilst the stewards have not yet made a decision, the FIA have said they believe that the team are in breach of article 5.5.3. This implies that the cars throttles are more open than they should be for a given position.
If found guilty Vettel and Webber who start from 2nd and 8th respectively will be forced to the back of the grid.
The decision is expected to be made before the race start at 13.00BST
