All American Girl: Zooey Deschanel Collaborates With Tommy Hilfiger

Zooey Deschanel is known for her ‘little-doll’ style, with cute tea party dresses and the innocent attitude. With many style-lovers following her on the catwalk, the street and at presses, her looks have always been individual, fun and young. For many fans, her Tommy Hilfiger collaboration announcement was a prayer answered, with not only admiring her style but also get the chance to dress like her herself through her vision. Each garment is carefully designed by her; bringing the ideas of what she wants to see in her spring wardrobe. It’s a combination of Zooey’s flirty attitude and Tommy’s famous red, blue and white stripes making this collaboration more personal to both sides.

Known for her love of vintage this collaboration didn’t even need a question of ‘can this be done?’. Zooey & Tommy themselves have met a few years ago at mutual friend’s house, where they both discovered each others love for vintage. With that Zooey is a perfect example of Hilfiger’s ‘All-American’ girl, letting loyal customers relate to the collaboration.

Zooey is no stranger to fashion and promotion, due to her appearance for being the face of Rimmel in 2011. However this will be her first time in the world of design, with Tommy by her side. They started this collaboration process with designing jewellery and accessories, with garments now on there way.

I am a fashion fanatic and I am always looking for new ways to incorporate vintage, feminine pieces into my own wardrobe. Tommy and I share many of the same inspirations—old school music, classic films and old Hollywood icons—and his guidance during the design process helped to put a really unique twist on each piece.” – Zooey Deschanel

So get prepared for spots, stripes, short hemlines, shirt dresses and the style of being playful.  The collection will be exclusively sold in stores like Macy’s coming this April with prices from $90-$199, making a dress a must have for the spring.
