Summer Cocktails

Summer is FINALLY here, and all we want to do is sunbathe and drink cocktails. However, whenever we try to recreate the heavenly goodness of Coco Tang it turns into a 10 ingredient, expensive, stressful nightmare. And even then we can never get it to taste as good as the real thing.

So to rectify this heart-breaking situation, we’ve found five deliciously refreshing summer cocktails that contain just three ingredients. We know we know, we’re the best…

Peach Lemonade Coolers:DSC_0010

2 medium peaches, peeled, halved and pitted

120 ml of Lemonade

1 shot of vodka

Blend the peaches and lemonade in a blender until smooth. Pour the vodka over ice in a glass and then add the peach and lemonade mix. Add some sunshine and a Heat magazine for the perfect summers afternoon. Find website here.

Great The Great GatsbyGatsby

1 shot of vodka

1 shot of Lillet Blanc

70ml grapefruit juice

This couldn’t be easier, just mix all the ingredients together, add ice and you are good to go. Find website here.

Flamingoflamingo edited

2 oz. (57 ml) White rum

3/4 oz. (21 ml) Lime juice

3oz. (85ml) Pink grapefruit soda

Pour the white rum, lime juice and ice into a glass and give a good stir – if you’ve got a cocktail shaker than even better. Then add the pink grapefruit soda and an umbrella if you are feeling extra tropical. Find website here.

Blackberry Bramblblackberry-bramblee

8oz. (227ml) Tequila

2oz. (57ml) Blackberry Liquor

8oz. (227ml) Lemonade

Again, another recipe that couldn’t be simpler: just combine all the ingredients in a glass, give it a good stir and add ice. If you want to make this one a tiny bit healthier (as if), add some blackberries. Find website here.

Pimm’s Royale35071_pimm_s_royale

25ml Pimm’s

225ml cava or champagne

1 strawberry

Now normally we would say Pimm’s is a drink not to be messed with, but for something a little something different with a little extra alcohol, swap the lemonade for cava (or champagne if you really feel like splashing out), and instead of including the whole fruit bowl, just add one strawberry.
