Where else can you eat as many plates as you like and not be judged? At Red Hot World Buffet it’s all you can eat, for one set price – and the only limit is your stomach capacity!
Located in Trinity Square (just behind The Cornerhouse), you enter the reception which is styled like an airport check in desk, and make your way underground to the main restaurant; which has seats in the style of airplane chairs, and an Indian and East Asian zone to really get you in the multi-cultural mood.
The restaurant food is comprised of various live stations, which allows you to pick ingredients and ask the chefs their to cook it up. But for those who like to pick and mix, they serve a range of buffet-style food that you can help yourself to.
The choice is vast including; Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Italian and Tradition English – plus all the deserts you could want, with a live make your own pancake station and an ice-cream gelateria with a host of interesting flavours and toppings.
I recommend the chocolate fountain, which I wish I could stick my mouth under (sadly its not allowed!), and if you have room, try one of their many cocktails – a personal favourite being the Mud Slide; which is full of chocolate but also packs a powerful alcoholic punch, which is excellent for your Christmas meal.
With the festive season in full swing, it’s the perfect place for a flat or society end of term meal – and Red Hot World Buffet is even able to cater for up to 200 people; so ALL your society members or friends (if you are that popular!) can fit into the spacious dining area.
Lunchtime prices start at £8.99 and run between 12pm – 4pm, and dinner is from £13.99 from 4:30pm until 10:30pm (prices and opening times change at weekends).
