Halloween 2016 is set to be the spookiest one yet, what with the Killer Crown phase and everything! With the event only a few days away here is a roundup of all the creepy goings on in Nottingham this year.
Nottingham Ghost walk
Places are filling up fast for the spookiest night of the year. Prepare yourself for ghostly screams, tales of gory executions and haunting history. There are walks on October 29 and 31, setting off from the Old Salutation Inn in Maid Marian Way. Adult entry cost £6, children £3, family £15. You can book tickets by calling 07968 648 950.
White Post Farm
A week of Halloween fun begins with a visit from Scooby Doo and the Mystery Machine on October 22, plus science shows and bird of prey displays later in the week. There are free Halloween crafts and pumpkin carving (for a small extra charge) plus all the usual farm activities such as reptile stroking and creepy critters. Full details at whitepostfarm.co.uk.
Dance of the Dead
Head over to the Nottingham Contemporary for a paranormal weekender with a New Orleans-inspired voodoo festival of live music, classic horror movies and other mysterious happenings starting on Friday October 28. For full details head to www.nottinghamcontemporary.org.
Halloween at the Gallery Of Justice
No trick, there’s plenty of treats in store at one of Nottingham’s most haunted locations. Witch trials, live scare show and after dark terror tours are taking place on various dates in October at the former courtroom and gaol. Full details galleriesofjustice.org.uk.
